The Nigeria Lady who identified herself as Lucia has recently come out on social media through a video she personally made to defend herself while giving numerous reasons behind the proposal rejection decision.

Recall that the video showing a young man and a lady who are in a relationship as the boy tries to propose to her in a quiet environment but having passersby walking around and observing the actions at the scene became viral few days ago and has gotten so many Nigerians talking.

The boy on his own decided to propose to his lady probably for marriage purposes while standing up instead of the “normal African way” of kneeling down but the lady categorically went blunt to say that the young man must go down on his knees before she would accept his proposal.

Unfortunately, the young man stood his ground as the lady also stood her ground and that’s how a relationship of five(5) good years according to them at the scene got broken, showing the lady angrily leaving the scene without accepting the young man’s proposal as she was heard angrily saying “You are embarrassing me, kneel down… So, you can’t kneel down for me?… Don’t touch me…” .

After seeing this viral video, many Nigerians took to their various media handle to give diverse reactions.

GGB reporters gathered that, one controversial questions being asked as relating to this issue which has gotten reactions from different angles without no conclusive answer yet is “Who is at fault between the young man and the lady?”

Babatunde Oke, the chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has on  Wednesday, 12th of August died of Covid19 complications.

According to reports, Oke died on Wednesday at St. Nicholas Hospital located in Lagos island after combating with the dreaded virus ( covid19), the local government Council chairman late Babatunde Oke died of complications emanated from Corona virus.

Oke’s chief secretary, confirmed his death but couldn’t give further details.

Gbosgist gathered that he was a staunch member of All progressive Congress(APC) who was serving his second term before his demise.

The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has however, expressed sadness over the death of late chairman through his condolence message obtained by GGB reporters.

Gov. Sanwolu appealed to Lagosians, to use the death of the council chairman as a reminder that all hands must be on deck in reducing the spread of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic, as well as obeying basic rules and regulations issued by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) directives on reducing the spread of Covid19.

The Lagos State Governor said;

“The death of Hon. Babatunde Oke is a painful and great loss to the State. We must however not allow the death of Hon. Oke to deter us from forging ahead in our quest to finding a lasting solution to the dreaded coronavirus which is ravaging the world. In fact the best way we would preserve the memories of those we have lost to the virus is for the world to find a solution to the pandemic”

Expressing his emotion towards the sad news, the Governor said “I am saddened by the death of this fine gentleman; a loyal party man and committed democrat, who had a deep understanding of local government administration and the political landscape” adding that “Hon. Oke was an extremely loyal politician and an invaluable asset to the All Progressives Congress (APC)”

“He started his political journey with the progressives and remained in the fold until his unfortunate exit today. There is no doubt in the fact that he would be missed by the entire political class, particularly Onigbongbo LCDA, Lagos APC family and the State as a whole.” he further stated.

The governor, went on to condole with the family, praying that God will grant “the soul of our beloved Hon. Babatunde Oke an eternal rest and comfort the immediate and political family of the deceased.”

As at the time of filing this report, means or source through which the Late LCDA Chairman contracted this deadly virus is yet to be identified.

Recall that Lagos State has topped the list of states with the highest number of covid19 cases from the NCDC daily report.

Former governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose has on Tuesday, 11th of August vows to send former President Olusegun Obassnjo back to prison for all his alleged infringements committed against Nigeria if he becomes president.

Mr Fayose said this on Tuesday while featured on “Plus Politics”, a programme on PlusTV Africa in Ado-Ekiti.

According to the former governor, he would ensure Obasanjo accounts for all the alleged financial impropriety and other manifestations of corrupt practices perpetrated during his eight-year tenure as Nigeria’s president and face the full wrath of law.

He said: “Let me tell to you, Obasanjo has made hate speech and should be brought to book by this government. I pray one day I will become president of this country by God’s grace, Obasanjo will go back to prison. I’m telling you the truth because there are so many things Obasanjo must be questioned about.

Obasanjo is not a saint when he came out of prison his farm at Ota was in shambles. But, today, it is back to life. Where did the money for resuscitating the once ailing farm come from? It was from the government.

“For the library, all governors at that time contributed N10 million each to support Obasanjo by force. The third term is still fresh in our memory. So, baba should stop telling us he is a saint. Shagari was not good enough. He imposed him on Nigerians. He brought Yar’Adua and Jonathan. Nobody is good to Obasanjo except himself.

“Whatever you say about Kashamu. He has paid his own dues, spent his time. No court convicted him and he left and departed the world. Everybody will have an end. Let wait and see how Obasanjo will end.”

Fayose had recently attacked Obasanjo for his comments about the late Senator Buruji Kashamu after the former president said Kashamu could not beat death despite evading justice for alleged crimes.

Kozeem Olaitan, the SUG President of Kwara State University (KWASU) on Saturday, 8th of July was harassed while traveling, having his cash extorted from him by a Police Officer around Ogijo area of Sagamu in Ogun State.

The third President of the Kwara State University Students’ Union having felt sheeted, took to his twitter handle in annoyance narrated the sad incident while pleading on well meaning Nigerians to help him seek justice as he also advised critical check of officers of the Nigeria police force to prevent abuse of power and safety of citizens.

A group, CUPP has on Saturday, 8th of August come out to demand the arrest of Auditor-General of the Federation while ordering V.President, Yemi Osibanjo to step aside and clear his name over an alleged missing N10billion traceable to him.

The statement obtained by GGB reporters from the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) released on Saturday, 8th of August reads;

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) has recently released new dates for student’s resumption, duration of lectures, period of revision and examination as it is also set to release timetable.

The body in a letter recently issued to all Universities Vice-Chancellors as obtained by GGB reporters said;

“Prior to the release of examination dates by the federal government for all Government owned National Examination bodies on July 29, 2020 , the JUPEB authorities have been in touch with the Ministry of Education. Following this, we have been able to come in with the examination schedule for the JUPEB 2020 Examinations.”

JUPEB said that “the examination dates have been fixed to hold from Monday, September 7 to Friday September 18, 2020” and will be preceded “with a four-week revision from August 10 to September 4, 2020”.

While instructing all Vice Chancellors, the body said “each JUPEB Centre is expected to adequately and sufficiently manage situations during the revision weeks and the examination period. Each Centre is at liberty to either continue with the online teaching or allow the students to come to school in batches to avoid all the students on the school premises at the same time” adding that “the Government will be monitoring our activities and no Centre should give room for any negative report that will indict JUPEB programmes”.

They further revealed that the examination timetable will be released by Friday, August 7 together with instructions to Practicals and oral papers, as guild lines towards achieving successful examinations and reducing the spread of the CoronaVirus among students were also given.

One of the officials of the COVID19 Presidential Task Force(PTF) in Anambra State was caught on Wednesday, 5th of August raping a female teenager (name undisclosed) in a parked bus (probably parked due to an unidentified fault) along a less busy road somewhere in Onitsha area of Anambra State.

According to an indigene at the scene of the incident who plea anonymity, an unusual noise was observed in a nearby bus which has been parked there for a while due to its faultiness by the owner.

Inquisitively, a search was done to locate the source of the unusual noise but to their greatest surprise, it was a moaning from the teenager in the course of penetration by the PTF personnel.

As at the time of filing this report, efforts made by GGB reporters to speak directly with Personnel of the Presidential Task Force identified in his uniform and the teenager caught in the act were aborted as both victims have already been surrounded by angry passer’s-by and indigenes of the said community.

GGB reporters gathered that the PTF personnel after he had been surrounded by members of the community and at the virge of being beaten, was over heard saying in Pigin English “nah devil work… Abeg, abeg, nah devil work”

Security officers have been contacted for adequate measures to be taken.

Recall that this is coming barely few days after an officer of the Nigeria Police Force allegedly raped a widow for not waring her face-mask.

The one time Minister of Aviation, Culture and Tourism, Fani Kayode has recently come out to challenge the Presidency, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and other Stake holders in the elm of affairs within the country to hook up Prophet T.B Joshua of SCOAN to all Covid-19 isolation centers and hospitals within the country by satellite through Emmanuel TV in other to get infected patients healed and to reduce number of death cases.

The video of the little boy who is yet to be identified by name has recently gone viral on social media and has also gotten the attention of so many well meaning Nigerians and other social media users across all nations of the world.

The boy in the video is seen pleading his mummy not to flog him probably for an offence he committed which he has been warned several times to avoid.

The boy is seen not just begging his mummy not to flog him, but also telling his mummy to calm down. When the mother asked him how she should calm down when she is set to flog him, this boy went on with different demonstrations ranging from movement of hands, to moving close to a nearby sofa and sitting on the arm of the sofa positioning himself in a relax manner just to teach the mother how to be calm amidst tension in other to reduce the level of anger that will be brought upon him by the mother.

When he discovered that his intelligent tricks were no longer working on the mother, he resorted into kneeling down and begging his mother to give him just one last chance in the world while promising that he would not touch again whatsoever he would be told not to touch.

This particular trending funny video uploaded on social media by the boy’s mother has now caught the attention of a Non-Governmental Organization known as Combat Domestic Violence and Abuse Foundation whose primary aim is to fight against any forms of domestic violences and abuses of all kind, and has fully declared to the public through their facebook handle that the boy in the Viral video “#MummyCalmDown” making round will now be the ambassador of their Foundation, probably will be placed on the foundation’s pay roll.

Clergyman after allegedly tracing George Floyd’s home town linking it to Mbaise area of Imo State, organises a burial ceremony again amidst tears in remembrance of the late Black American.

According to Igbete TV, Pastor Okoro said “I have traced the ancestral root of George Obinna Floyd to Mbaise”

The clergy man while explaining further said the Black-American who was killed in cold blood by some officers of the America police force was from Umuoffor Kindred in Obokwu Obibi Aboh, Mbaise, IMO State.

The federal government has on Monday, 27th of July given directives to all secondary school owners within the country to reopen school for exiting classes on August 4th while issuing out August 17th as the newly rescheduled WAEC date, says it will hold another meeting with NECO NABTEB and other examination body today, 28th of July to conclude on examination dates.

In a press statement released by the Federal Ministry of Education after having a virtual meeting will stakeholders, it was finally agreed on that schools are to reopen from 4th of August 2020 for exiting classes only which are JSS 3 and SSS 3.

“Students will have two weeks within which to prepare for the West African Examination (WAEC)

“The meeting also resolved that a passionate appeal be made to Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and public spirited Nigerians for assistance to schools across the country to enable them fast track the operations for safe reopening, as agreed”.

The statement reveals that another meeting will be held on Tuesday, 28th of July between the federal government and Chief Executives of examination bodies like NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS to delibrate and conclude on examination dates, which will be conveyed to stakeholders by the Federal Ministry of Education.

Recall that the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki had defected to PDP ahead 2020 Election after he was rejected by APC from participating in the party’s primary election.

The late Dr. Luke Nkanele whose body had been in the mortuary for more then four months was on Friday, 24th of July dressed in his Knight attire and made to stand in between families and friends for a group photography few hours to his burial.

Dr. Luke who hailed from Owerri, Imo State died on the 5th of March after a brief illness.

The Imo State indigene in a photo trending online through a post made by one Anita Luke (probably his biological daughter) on facebook is seen beautifully dressed in his knight societal attire, made to stand in a wonderful pose as surrounded by members of his family and friends to get a group photograph.

Few minutes after the final group photograph with the remains of Dr. Luke Nkanele, the body was taken to Good Shepherd Parish Ihube, Okigwe area of Imo State and was thereafter, laid to rest in his residence.

Responding to the questions bordering the mind of many well meaning Nigerians since the photo started trending, a relative of late Dr. Luke probably his biological daughter who made the post replied thus;

Others are currently still of the opinion since this became viral that it seems the living no longer has respect for the dead.

The Nigeria Police has finally on Friday, 24th of July arrested all the four persons involved in the dehumanizing treatment meted on a lady as shown in a video that went viral on Wednesday.

This was made known in a statement released through their twitter handle, revealing that

“The Nigeria Police have arrested the remaining two persons involved in the dehumanizing treatment of a female citizen in a viral video making rounds since Wednesday, July 2020, bring to a total number of persons in police custody to four”

The additional persons arrested are identified as CPL Aiyedun Akeem and one Ope Owoye- the civilian accomplice popularly known as ‘Wyclef’ as contained in the statement.

It would be glad to note that “investigation is still on going after which the Force internal disciplinary procedures will commence for the officers”.

Recall that two persons, ASP Tijani Olatunji and Inspr Gboyega were earlier arrested on Thurdays, being same day an investigative order was issued by the Inspector General of Police, for their involvement in the case.

The security agency further disclosed that Police Detectives from the state CID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos have established contact with the victim with assurances that justice will not only be done but will be seen to have been manifestly done

Adamu in his final words, said the video is “orchestrated to stir up ill-feelings towards security agencies in Nigeria” while assuring the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to always respect and uphold the rights of the citizenry.
