The video of Darnella Frazier lamenting helplessly at Floyd’s death scene surfaced online after she was attacked for posting video. The 17 year-old girl who filmed Floyd’s death revisited scene the next day looking unkept as she lament betterly recounting the sad incident took place right before her.
Darnella while narrating her ordeal before, during and after filming the whole scene said “I was the one that was recording the whole thing. This man was literally right here, 8:00pm yesterday… I was walking my cousin to the store and I just see him on the ground. I am like what’s going on?… I pulled my camera out.”
She added that “this man cannot f**king breathe at all. He’s like ‘please, I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe’…and they didn’t care . They killed this man.”
Narrating how she was able to record the whole scene successfully, Darnella said “I was right there! I was like 5 feet away!” She further added that “It was so traumatizing”.
The 17 years-old Darnella during an interview said that immediately she posted the video of the disdain incident on her social media handles, comments started flowing into her inbox by some friends and internet users questioning her on why she chose to do a standing video at such alarming-happening instead of getting involved towards facilitating the rescue of Floyd.
“And ever since then, I have been living with this guilt” she said. The young girl is not only mentally imbalance for witnessing something so terrifying but also being bullied for not getting involved.
Recall that George Flody, a 46 years-old Black man was murdered in cold blood on the 25th of May by Derek Chauvin a White police officer who knelt on his neck for over 8 minutes while handcuffing his two hands at his back with his face down the ground.
