The Special Anti-Robbery Squad popularly known as SARS has at the early hours of Saturday, 17th of October been completely disestablished as Federal Government declared that none of its former members will be in any police tactical units.
This was made known to the general public by the Nigeria Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo through his official Twitter handle on Saturday, 17th of October.
The tweet reads;
“With Mr. President’s approval, SARS has been completely disestablished, and none of its former members will feature in any police tactical units”.
