Super Eagles Coach, Gehnot Rohr on Monday released a 25-man list for next month friendlies with Tunisia and Ivory Coast slated for Austria.
The Super Eagles, who just moved two places up the FIFA ranking to become the 29th best team in the world will play their first game after the Corona virus pandemic.
The squad includes established regulars like Stand- in Captain Troost Ekong after Ahmed Musa, the Captain of the team was left out, Leicester city Trojan Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze and Napoli new man Victor Oshimen while there are also some fresh faces hoping to get their first cap for the team with the likes of former under-17 Captain Samson Tijani, CSKA Chidera Ejuke, Fc Porto keft back Zaidu Sanusi and Relatively unknown Paul Onyeka.
Meanwhile, few players are making a return after a while and this includes Leicester forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, Mikel Agu and goalkeeper Dele Alampasu.
Players on standby are : Josh Maja, Abdullahi Shehu, Henry Onyekuru, Ramon Azeez and Tyronne Ebuehi.
Nigeria will play Ivory Coast October 9 and then play Tunisia four days later at the same venue.
“Both games have been arranged by the NFF to prepare the Eagles for the next rounds of 2022 AFCON qualifiers, home and away against Sierra Leone in November,” a statement reads.
