In a time like this where the masses are still in limbo due to the rising state of the economy in Lagos, there came some moments of Joy for Lagosians as the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed inspected the new Standard-guage Train at noon hours Saturday, 15th of August.
The atmosphere was indeed a lease of fresh air as people trooped and cheered the Ministers while they rode the new trains.The inspection started from The new Ebute metta Train Station,moved to Apapa,came back before jetting to Ibadan for further inspections
However,the Ministers urged the contractors in charge of the project,China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC)to double up the work in order to meet the April 2023 target. This speech was done when the trained stopped briefly at the Agege Train Station.
It is worthy of note that the Lagos -Ibadan Rail is just about completion.
