LATEST UPDATE: Exit Classes To Reopen August 4th, WAEC Begins 17th As FG Set To Hold Meeting With NECO, NABTEB and Others Today (Read more)

The federal government has on Monday, 27th of July given directives to all secondary school owners within the country to reopen school for exiting classes on August 4th while issuing out August 17th as the newly rescheduled WAEC date, says it will hold another meeting with NECO NABTEB and other examination body today, 28th of July to conclude on examination dates.

In a press statement released by the Federal Ministry of Education after having a virtual meeting will stakeholders, it was finally agreed on that schools are to reopen from 4th of August 2020 for exiting classes only which are JSS 3 and SSS 3.

“Students will have two weeks within which to prepare for the West African Examination (WAEC)

“The meeting also resolved that a passionate appeal be made to Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and public spirited Nigerians for assistance to schools across the country to enable them fast track the operations for safe reopening, as agreed”.

The statement reveals that another meeting will be held on Tuesday, 28th of July between the federal government and Chief Executives of examination bodies like NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS to delibrate and conclude on examination dates, which will be conveyed to stakeholders by the Federal Ministry of Education.
