The Nigeria Police Force through their media handle has come out on Wednesday, 22nd of July to condemn the inhumane treatment meted on a female Nigerian whose video went viral, while ordering discrete investigation to be done in other to bring culprits to justice.
The statement issued on twitter reads:
” The Inspector General of Police has ordered discrete investigation into the circumstances surrounding the dehumanizing treatment meted out to a female citizen in the above viral video.”
Adding that “The IGP while condemning the act, has directed the commencement of investigations aimed at unraveling the true identity of the perpetrators with a view to bringing them to justice”
Further more, the Police boss went on to assure members of the public that ” any members of the force found culpable in the incident will be made to face appropriate sanctions. “
