The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa and his Wife have tested positive for covid-19 on 1st of July. This was made known to the general public through a post the Governor personally shared on his witter handle at about 12:30 pm on Wednesday.
Gov. Okowa tweeted “My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter.
Recall that the Governor’s daughter has in few days back contracted the deadly coronavirus and according to reports might have transmitted it to other members of the family.
Having discovered this, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and his entire family have been in isolation at the Governor’s residence following the diagnosis to know if they would develop any symptoms relating to this virus.
Unfortunately, it turns out to be positive after the family members blood samples have been collected.
