EXPOSE: See Huge Amount PHCN Bills Nigerians After April Lockdown; Unused Electricity

Survey made after Mrs Omobola Johnson complained on Tweeter about Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) billings shows that customers are unfairly extorted using April and May billings as case study.

About 10% of clients facing similar treatment came out to in anger lamenting their experiences toward the PHCN monthly estimated billings.

The big question is, if it is not for extortion and corruption purposes, how come consumers that stayed at home during the total lockdown still receive enormous billings knowing fully well that places of earnings like homes, offices, churches, mosques and others were permanently locked?

PHCN Consumers lash out ordeals;

In one way or the other, every Nigerian is still connected to estimated billings. Indeed, Prepaid Meters would have provided solution to this problem but how available are they and how consistent is electricity distributed?

Power is one of the paramount sectors that a nation needs for speedy development. Therefore, we call on the presidency and stakeholders to draw close attention to the power sector. Distribution companies in the States should provide customers with prepaid meter so as to bridge the gap between consumption and payment.
